1. What is the ‘Cadbury Inventor’ competition?

We’re opening our doors and inviting the nation to ‘go madbury for Cadbury’, offering everyone in the UK and the Republic of Ireland the chance to create and name their own Cadbury Dairy Milk bar.
With over 90,000 possible combinations of ingredients to choose from, you can submit up to three of your favourite flavours for the chance to be one of three finalists whose creations will be sold in stores and put to a nationwide vote. The winning bar will become the latest and most exciting addition to the iconic Cadbury Dairy Milk range as a limited edition bar.

2. How do I enter?

For the chance to become a Cadbury Inventor, just visit cadburyinventor.com. There’s a huge range of tasty ingredients to choose from, which will be added to delicious Cadbury Dairy Milk to create your bar. Once you’ve picked up to three of your favourite ingredients, you’ll get the chance to name the bar and tell us a bit more about what inspired your creation. Enter now.

3. Is it open to everyone?

Entry is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and The Republic of Ireland, aged 16 and over.

4. Can I enter more than once?

Of course! If you’ve got more than one dream creation in mind, just enter again.

5. When is the competition open until?

The competition is open to entries from the 00.01 BST on the 2nd of September 2019 to 23:59 BST on the 30th of September 2019.

6. How many ingredients can I choose to add to my bar?

You can pick up to three tasty ingredients from the list to add to your Cadbury Dairy Milk Invention!

7. How will the entries be judged?

Each bar will be judged based on two very important elements: Taste and Creativity. All entries will first be looked at by an independent judge, and then narrowed down where the next round of potential inventors will be reviewed by a separate panel of experts (including at least one independent judge). Three lucky finalists will be selected, and will be notified by no later than 3 months following the end of the Promotion Period.

8. It won’t let me enter the name I want!

There are a few restrictions so we can make sure the bars feel at home as part of the Cadbury Dairy Milk family. This means nothing (in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter) which is offensive, rude, politically motivated, or combinations of names that already exist in the Cadbury range.

9. What’s the prize?

The three lucky finalists will have the opportunity to visit Bournville, the home of Cadbury, where they will work with our chocolate experts to experiment with their creations and make their dream bar a reality.

All three bars will be available to purchase from next year, when the whole of the UK and Republic of Ireland will be able to purchase and vote for their favourite to crown one creation the ultimate winner.

The winning bar will then be available to buy in supermarkets for a minimum of 12 months, and the winning Cadbury Inventor will receive a year’s supply of their delicious creation - that's a sharing bar a week!

10. Where will the bars be made?

The bars will be created at the home of Cadbury in Bournville.

11. What if more than one person enters the same bar?

As we’ll be judging entries on both taste AND creativity, the name of the bar and the inspiration behind it will be considered alongside the choice of ingredients.

12. What if a finalist creation cannot be created with the exact submitted ingredients?

The Promoter will aim to, as far as possible, create the bar for finalists as per their entry, however it may not be possible for all of the above ingredients to be used or used in combination with each other.

The Promoter will work with the finalists and the winner to create the bar as close as possible to their entry, this may not always be possible and ultimately, the Promoter will have the final say as to the bar which is created and the ingredients within it.

13. Will the winner have to give up all rights to the bar?

Yes - as the winner will be an official Cadbury Inventor. Cadbury will own the rights to every creation entered as part of this promotion - we've outlined it in the T&Cs.
